𝕃𝕆𝕄𝔼 ℕ𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕆ℕ𝔸𝕃 π•„π•Œπ•Šπ”Όπ•Œπ•„ One of the main attractions that embrace the cultural and historical aspect of Togo is the national museum situated in LomΓ© at the Congress Palace near the Independence Square, opposite the hotel February 2. The national museum was founded in 1975 and it houses ethnographical, cultural and artistic exhibits. This museum is something different from other museums that people might have previously visited, the reasons are many. The size of the museum is not very huge and that allows to explore the prehistorical and colonial era wings very easily. The most attractive part is the informative collection of paintings, pottery, textiles, and musical instruments. These artefacts represent an important evidence to a relatively poorly documented national history. At the museum the way in which the past and recent history are represented is very interesting. There are beautiful painted maps and Togo’s history is represented by old photos and drawings tha...

𝕃𝕆𝕄𝔼' 𝔾ℝ𝔸ℕ𝔻 𝕄𝔸ℝ𝕂𝔼𝕋.   I had an extraordinary time visiting the LomΓ© grand market for the first time. The market is one of the main attractions of the country. While there, it was an immediate warm welcoming because of the chaotic place and people. The local people are the hart of the market. LomΓ© grand market is the mix of different smells because of the various food, aromas and spices that sellers are offering. When inside the market, it was impossible to not notice one of the main iconic buildings of the city such as Sacred Heart Cathedral. The cathedral was built in just over a year (April 1901 to September 1902) by the German colonial authorities, now It is the mother of the Archdiocese of LomΓ© and one of the seven Catholic church districts of the African Republic of Togo. The purchasing and shopping part in this market is not the usual as people might think, this is why Lome grand market is a truly experience in terms of culture and people. It is impossible t...

LomΓ© is not one of the most acclaimed tourist destinations in Africa. That is because we are always bombarded with places like Kenya, Egypt, Morocco or South Africa and most of the time tourists forget about all of the rest beautiful countries in Africa. LomΓ© is a small city but it has a lot to offer to all the tourists that wish to visit it for the first time. LomΓ© is the capital and largest city of Togo. LomΓ© presents an urban population of 1.8 million and 749.700 thousand citizens in the city area. It is a small city compared to some other capitals in Africa but the economy is fluent and increasing thanks to its phosphate deposits and a well-developed export sector based on agricultural products such as coffee, cocoa, and peanuts. Togo is a great destination for those who want to experience something different and outside the box. A lot of people always wander about t...
